Mr G Lacy Hillier writes: – “Referring to the accident to Captain Mayer, will you allow me to remind tricyclists that the National Cyclist Union has already been instrumental in securing the alteration of many dangerous sewer ventilators and is always ready to take action on receipt of the necessary particulars as to the existence of such dangerous “cycle traps.” Local centres of the National Cyclists Union are now established at Bristol, Plymouth, Dorchester, Liverpool and Newcastle and its labours for the conservation of cycling interests in this, as well as in many other directions, extend over the whole of the United Kingdom.
